75% rights in 187 countries around the workd favor men more than women according the United Nations.

Today we celebrate International Human Rights Day together, marking the end of 16 days of action.

But the battle doesn't end here. Women and girls around the world continue to demand that their human rights be respected and protected. A World Bank study found that the law applies only to women in 187 countries, 75% out if 100 protect men more economic rights and legal protection than women. We both know the number are way too much.

Speak Up For Women And Girls Facing Gender Based Violence In Your Community

According to the united nation statistics report on gender base violence 1 in 3 women and girls are facing violence and abuse in many communities around their lifetime.

Community leaders can take practical steps to prevent, reduce, and respond to gender-based violence. This is why we need to engage and prevent this to further happen. So many girls cannot talk due to thefear of what their community can percieved them after, this is many reasons make our women to stay silent and suffer the trauma alone, and like we all knew trauma lead to illness.

There is a saying originating from the Sotho community in the 11 official languages ​​of South Africa, "Mosadi o tshwara thipa ka bogaleng", which roughly translates to "a woman holding a knife at the sharp end".

Do you know many of the rich countries around the world are doing so much to help in reducing poverty in the world. Supporting millions of girls in education. Helping people don't go to bed hungry. Ensure millions of safe births. Helps to almost completely eradicate polio. 

Help in the fight against female genital mutilation (FGM). Provide millions of meals for Syrian refugees. Build schools and toilets in Nigeria and Kenya. Delivering vital relief to Afghan villagers after an earthquake destroyed thousands of homes. 

The question I always ask people is this, what are you doing in our various communities in making sure we all have contributed in m ing the world a better place?

Nigerian Girls Need Full Access To Intternet


Without equal access to the internet and new technologies, girls could miss important opportunities to shape their futures. #DayoftheGirl We need to address overlapping factors such as disability and socioeconomic conditions that affect the digital divide.

Nigeria is the fifth country to launch Google Station, a service aimed at countries with rapidly growing populations, Reuters noted. Similar programs have already been launched in India, Indonesia, Mexico, and Thailand.

The United Nations predicts that by 2050 Nigeria will become the third most populous country in the world after China and India.

Nigeria has more people living in extreme poverty on less than US$1.90 a day, surpassing India and more than any other country in the world.

An estimated 87 million people in Nigeria (about 44% of the country's population) live below the extreme poverty line today, while in India it is 73 million. Nearly Six Nigerians fall below the extreme poverty line every minute, according to the World Data Lab's visually stunning Global Poverty Clock, which provides real-time poverty estimates for nearly every country. To reach the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 goal of ending poverty, Nigeria needs to increase the rate of exit from poverty to 13.2 people per minute to reach its goal by 2030. need to increase.

Child Marriage Is Still Rampant In Nigeria


According to the United Nations Children's Fund, Nigeria has the highest number of child brides in Africa.
